Our Story

Several studies show that art has been correlated to; reduced stress, decreased depression and improvements in academic ability. Art has innumerable benefits however many cannot afford to give this experience to their children. We believe that all children should have the opportunity to express themselves. Children will lead the future; we will give them the tools to succeed.

Communication is key in all aspects of life, as through art it allows us to do this no matter the language, culture, or age difference. Art is effective when used to spread a message; through emotionally evocative movies and songs are all examples. Pablo Picasso’s painting Guernica acted as a beacon of hope to the oppressed people, we want to give that opportunity to others. To let artists create the symbols for their disenfranchised group. Let them stand up against injustice and oppression across the world.

We believe in the Helping Hand Foundation, its core values resonate with ours. From a young age art has always had an impact on each of our lives. Each of us had our own unique experiences, expressing ourselves creatively which helped us become who we are today. To pursue art is a privilege and it shouldn’t be. Someone shouldn’t have to choose between an education or art. How many thousands of Picassos or Michael-Angelo’s have been lost to this choice?

Sadly, in today’s world while we have more artists, there is a disconnect between the average consumer and today’s art. We want to bridge that gap and breathe new life into the art world, by giving people more opportunities. All that is beautiful is one of the infinite forms of art, no matter who creates it.
